The House That Bel Air Built
Have hope, because with Habitat, there are possibilities. Don’t let them pass you by. ~ Holly Crouse
We've built houses all over Harford and Cecil counties, but we have never built in the Town of Bel Air.
Thanks to major sponsorship from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Harford County Government, the Town of Bel Air, Harford Mutual Insurance and support from the Downtown Bel Air Alliance, we have laid the groundwork for the first ever Habitat for Humanity home in Bel Air!
We have removed the existing house and building a new, five bedroom house with the Crouse family. This family of eight is hard working, very involved with the community, and excited to help with the construction of their new home. Homeownership has been out of reach - until now.
How Can You Get Involved?

Construction Volunteers- We will be building every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday beginning in February. Bring your business, church group, civic organization, friends, and family or come on your own to swing a hammer. Click here to volunteer or contact Abrielle to schedule a group build day!
Business Sponsorships- There are sponsorship opportunities for businesses of every size. Check out sponsorship opportunities or donate online here. Contact Tara Hyde for more information.
Individual Donations- Be a Shingles and Nails sponsor for as little as $100. Gifts of any amount are greatly appreciated. Donate securely online here or Tara Hyde can discuss the options with you.
Material Donations - Lumber, tools, shingles, nails, and other building supplies are needed to build the house! Dave will be glad to talk to you about what is needed.
Have another idea of how to get involved? Interested in bringing lunch to the volunteers on site? Want to help with the house dedication? Have another great idea? Let Abrielle know how you want to help!
Thank you to the sponsors and supporters of this project:
